A Reason For Blogging

I just contacted Hilliard and Harris Publishers.  They are a small press that have had 1/2 my manuscript for several months.  I”ve patiently waited since September of ‘05 and called them just twice to inquire how things were going, each time being as sickly sweet as I can possible be.

Well, I have been reviewing and rewriting my manuscript, working in a few critque groups, and since I think it reads much better, thought I would call them again and, if they still hadn’t gotten to it, I would offer to send the latest version.

Again, they were very nice, and the acquisition editor, who remembered me from a local conference told me that her “Reader” had read it and recommended that she go through it.  She made it sound really positive and encouraged me to send my latest version. 

So, everybody cross their fingers.  I need the luck.
